This one's for the girls who are:
Boyfriend-less
Anti-Valentines Day
In a long distance relationship
Being alone on Valentines Day sounds depressing AF. But like everything, it is what you make it. So instead of ignoring the love in the air, here's how you can embrace it and celebrate this year.
1. Cook yourself a gourmet meal
There is something so relaxing about cooking for yourself. You get to make whatever you want without worrying if the other person is in the mood for it. You can go at your own pace. You can put on your favorite playlist or show while you do it. If this is what I was doing for Valentines Day, i'd definitely make the infamous feta pasta recipe from TikTok. Don't like to cook? Then order in from your favorite restaurant.

2. Get crafty
Time to grab your paint brushes and canvas and get creative. Let your aloneness inspire you (lol). Crafting is such a good way to relax and reduce anxiety and now you can finally have the time to finish that scrapbook, sew your own throw pillow or paint a new picture for your wall.
3. Explore a new city
Obviously with COVID still in full effect, I'm not asking you to fly cross country. But take a little road trip (1-2 hours) and go to a new city that you've never seen. I literally have a list of cities on my phone that are a drive away from me that I've never been to. Walk around, take yourself out to lunch, do some shopping and have a DAY.

4. Slumber party
Yes, this is a blog for 20+ year olds and yes, I am suggesting you have a sleepover with your best friends. This one is for the girls who don't want to be alone on Valentines Day. Grab your single ladies (lol) and have a sleepover filled with face masks, painting each others nails, pigging out on ice cream and chocolate and watching your favorite 2000's chick flicks. I'm talking the whole 9 yards of a stereotypical sleepover. When's the last time you did this? I feel like it'd be so nostalgic and fun and a great way to get your mind off the fact that you're single.
5. Get drunk
Obviously, OBVIOUSLY, this is the best option. Just kidding, but not really. Grab your friends and go to a local bar, even if it's a really shitty one in your small hometown. The bartenders will be so shook that a group of young girls dressed to the nine's has entered their establishment on a Sunday night. Take shots, take selfies and have an anti-Valentines Day party (referencing the movie Valentines Day).
