1. Cute
Story Book Characters
Think Dorothy, Little Bo Peep, Queen of Hearts, Little Red Riding Hood and Tinkerbell. These costumes are cute and girly and usually require a dress. You can either buy the full costume online or if you want to be a little more casual, they are all possible to DIY!

2. Sexy
Space Cowboys
This may seem basic, but you can do a lot of cool things with this costume. Space cowboy costumes definitely let you show off some skin.

3. Funny
Alcohol
Get drunk and dress up as your favorite type of alcohol. It will undoubetdly be a party hit.

4. Scary
Creepy dolls
This costume has always creeped me out. There's something about pigtails and a baby- doll dress covered in fake blood that doesn't sit right with me. If you're trying to freak out your friends, this costume is super easy to do.

5. Easy & Cheap
Hippie
Not trying to spend a lot of time or money on this year's costume? We feel you. Tie dye a shirt and put some braids in your hair. Or, get out your flare jeans and a fringe top and call yourself a hippie.

6. Complicated & Time-consuming
Dia De Los Muertos
Want to really impress your Instagram followers? This costume and its complex makeup look takes a lot of time, but is so impressive.

7. Creative
Cruella De Vil
Honestly, I've never seen this costume done before, and I think it has the potential to be really, really cool. And it's easy to do. Just gather all the red, black and white you own and you're good to go. Maybe even add a black or white wig?

8. BFF Duo
Sun & Moon
There is nothing better than dressing up with your best friend to take some cute pics. This costume is not only aesthetically pleasing AF, but you can also get really creative with it. If you've got a third bestie, she could be the stars!

9. Group Costume Decades
Things can get tricky when you and your big friend group want to do a group costume. This one is fun, easy and every one can get creative in their own way.
1920s - Flapper

1940s- Rosie the Riveter

1950s- Character from Grease

1960s- Hippie (see above)
1970s- Disco Dancer

1980s- 80s workout girl

1990s- Character from Friends

2000s- Britney Spears or Paris Hilton

10. Couple Costume
Scooby Doo - Daphne and Fred
If I had a boyfriend (lol), I'd definitely do this costume with him. It's easy for the guy, but still fun and creative for the girl.
