Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that you either love or hate. Personally, I’m a fan, but it’s not my favorite (if you know me, you know Christmas is my THING). To get in the Thanksgiving spirit, I asked a bunch of people what their favorite part about Thanksgiving was. Here’s what they said....

My mom (obviously with the long paragraph answer and the overuse of exclamation points): "Family! Everyone is thankful and all together! We lead such busy lives! To have everyone near and far at your house to talk and eat and laugh and catch up is wonderful!"

My dad: "My favorite part of Thanksgiving is when everyone leaves." That's sweet of you dad, really.

My brother: "Food." So then I was like... "which is your favorite food?" and then he was like... "idk... everything." Thank you, that was very wise.

Sam: "My favorite part about Thanksgiving is the time of year, especially in New York City." I feel this one on a personal level.

Winnie: "I love getting dressed up to eat a big dinner. It's special. And I get so drunk." Well, at least that statement started off being wholesome.

Phoebe: "Being back in Chicago when it may or may not be snowing and seeing everyone I haven't seen in a year."

Charlotte: "I love when my mom pulls out the pecan pie."

Dylan: "Pecan Pie." Wtf is the hype with Pecan Pie?

Tatiana: "Turkey." Basic.

Justin: "Political debates that tear your family apart." Ah, a classic.

Sarah: "Having an excuse to overeat and not feel bad about it." This right here, is the winner.

For me, my favorite part of Thanksgiving is being with my family. It’s the first time since August that my parents, brother, cousins, aunts and uncles are all together again. There’s something about coming home for the holiday’s that makes me feel all warm and wholesome inside.
