Gift Guide: For Your SO's Mom

Why are parents the LITERAL hardest people to shop for??? Moms love to tell you they don't want presents and then get upset when you don't.get.them.anything. When it comes to your SO's mom, your boyfriend is probably clueless about what's on her wishlist.
Don't waste your time asking Chad to help you pick out a gift. Here are our picks for what to get your SO's mom for the holidays.
1. A gift card to her favorite restaurant - TBH, Maddie told me this one when I was thinking of what to get for my SO's mom. But this is the perfect balance between giving a tangible gift and an experience. It can double as a gift for your SO's dad, too!
2. Fancy hand sanitizer - In any other year, this one might sound kind of weird but I seriously think this is the cutest gift. This hand sanitizer literally smells like perfume. Get a couple bottles or the gift set with handmade soap.
3. An electric tea kettle - Is it a universal mom thing to drink tea all the time or is that just my mom? I honestly have no idea but this kettle is so cute even a non-tea drinker will love the look of it in her kitchen.
4. Shackets like this Zara one or this Missguided one would make any trendy mom happy. These shackets are everywhere right now.
5. Wine bottle stoppers - This one is for the wine moms and is especially good for someone who doesn't want to be spoiled. Pair a gorgeous geode or marble stopper with her favorite bottle of Prosecco for a gift that feels fancy but doesn't break the bank.
6. Homesick candles - Maybe your SO's mom had a trip planned that she had to delay due to COVID. Maybe she hasn't been able to visit her family because they're a plane ride away. This brand has so many options that will definitely melt her heart.
7. Fill in the blank books are a winner for the sentimental moms. Each page has a prompt that you can fill in with a personalized answer. This is definitely more for if you've known your SO's mom for a couple years now - maybe not the best for a new relationship.
8. At home spa kit - It's kind of basic, but a spa kit is a way to make it look like you spent a lot of time on a gift when you really just ran to Target the day before. WFH moms will appreciate the cozy accessories so much. Throw slippers, a set of face masks, and hand cream in a basket and you're done.
